Meet Dr. Alina Shamoun, DDS
Dr. Alina Shamoun is a dedicated and compassionate dentist who has proudly called Oakland County home her entire life. With deep roots in the community, she brings a personal touch to her practice, fostering meaningful connections with her patients at Shamoun Dental. Dr. Shamoun is committed to delivering exceptional, relationship-based dental care that is tailored to the unique needs and desires of each individual she serves.
Dr. Shamoun’s journey in dentistry began at Oakland University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology, graduating Magna Cum Laude. Her passion for oral health and patient care led her to the prestigious University of Detroit Mercy - School of Dentistry, where she graduated in 2018. Since then, she has remained at the forefront of her field, actively pursuing continuing education to stay current with the latest advancements in dental techniques and technologies. Her commitment to lifelong learning ensures that her patients receive the highest standard of care.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Shamoun cherishes spending quality time with her husband and two boisterous toddlers, who provide her with unwavering support and joy. Dr. Alina Shamoun is more than a dentist—she is a caring professional, a community advocate, and a lifelong learner dedicated to enhancing the lives of her patients and those around her. Dr. Scott Newman, DMD, MS
Dr. Scott Newman earned his dental degree from the University of Louisville, where he met his wife, and then completed a three-year residency in periodontics at the University of Louisville earning his master’s degree in Periodontics. During residency, Dr. Newman excelled academically and clinically, gaining extensive experience in advanced periodontal and surgical procedures. Dr. Newman fell in love with periodontics because it allows him to save teeth, restore smiles, and build lasting relationships with his patients. He takes pride in providing minimally invasive treatments to ensure a comfortable experience.
His expertise includes treating gum disease, covering gum recession, and performing complex dental surgeries — including dental implant placement, treating failing implants, sinus augmentation, bone grafts, and surgical extractions. Patients appreciate his gentle approach, attention to detail, and commitment to making them feel at ease and informed every step of the way. Outside of the office, Dr. Newman enjoys spending time outdoors, staying active, traveling with his wife, and exploring new places.
Meet Dr. Elaine Gantz, DDS
Dr. Elaine Gantz brings a legacy of care and extensive experience to our practice. A proud graduate of the esteemed University of Michigan School of Dentistry, Dr. Gantz has dedicated her career to providing exceptional dental care to our community for almost 40 years. Following in the footsteps of her father and grandfather, who was also a dentist, Dr. Gantz developed a deep appreciation for the profession and the positive impact it can have on patients' lives.
Her long-standing commitment to the community is reflected in the trusted relationships she has built with generations of families. Dr. Gantz combines decades of experience with a genuine passion for helping patients achieve and maintain optimal oral health. Outside of dentistry, she's an avid dog lover and cherishes time spent with her furry companions.
